ACT I · THE STORY

Why this Companion Dog?

Some dogs like to know what's going on. This one just likes to know where you are.

Into the kitchen, and they're there. Upstairs, and somehow they're already waiting. Sit down for five minutes and they settle beside you as though that was the plan all along.

It doesn't seem to matter whether anything interesting is happening. A walk is good, an afternoon in the garden is good, sitting quietly while you get on with something is perfectly good too.

That's the particular pleasure of a companion dog. Not what they do, but the fact that they are there.

This little bauble captures that familiar sort of dog, the one who has quietly become part of the household simply by being around.

And at Christmas, when everyone is gathered together, there is usually one more place that needs filling.

A cream pet food bowl with black paw prints and a red rim sits on a woven rug in a warm, rustic entryway with orange walls, a red door, and dog prints on the wooden floor.

“Wherever you are, is where it wants to be.”

ACT II · THE EXPERIENCE

A wooden Christmas ornament shaped like a dog, decorated with green and white painted details and hanging by a green string from a decorated Christmas tree with warm bokeh lights in the background.

Long before a model arrives on your doorstep, it begins here.

Ideas become sketches, sketches become prototypes, and prototypes become the finished models you see in our collection. Every detail is carefully considered, tested and refined before a design finds its place under the Curious Rabbit name.
